Innovation in the National Accounts

Judith Ajani

Dr Judith Ajani is a Senior Fellow holding a joint position at the ANU’s Fenner School of Environment and Society and the HC Coombs Policy Forum, Crawford School of Public Policy. She leads the HC Coombs Policy Forum’s Policy Research Program: Innovation in National Accounts. This Program aims to connect Australian public servants, researchers and national statisticians to contribute to innovation in the development and application of national accounting frameworks as a major information resource for Australian policy making, research and public policy debate. The first stage of this program is focussed to carbon stock accounting to complement existing flow-based accounts. Dr Ajani participated in the UN Statistics Division process to develop the carbon stock accounting section of the draft UN SEEA Experimental Ecosystem Accounting.
